This site is dedicated to Joan Scharfenstenstein Rogers, who served her God, Church and community as a pastors daughter, a pre-school teacher, a nurse, a pastors wife and a friend and inspiration for her church and community for over 50 years. She was received into heaven on September 18 2004.

The mission of the Grace Baptist Church New Orleans Louisiana, under the leadership of the Holy Spirit, is to make Grace Baptist Church the place for people of every nation, every age and every race.   To Worship and to praise God To Reach out and to bring others in  To Teach them and to show them the    way,  To Love them and make them a part.  To Pray with them and for them, And    to send them out to bring others in All To The Glory Of God!

Grace Baptist Church celebrated its 100th anniversary on November 7th at 11am with a special service. Many past and present Church members gave testimonials  about the church and how it has affected their lives.

 There was a dinner outside on the grounds as it was a lovely day.  One special guest was Jackie Clarkson who  informed us about many changes soon to come such as the cruise terminal and access to the river,

. Grace Baptist Church is a peoples church where the members reach out and make you feel welcome right away. There is always much singing and at the end everyone holds hands in a circle. You will feel welcome but not pressured. I hope you will join us next Sunday! Sleep in services don't start till 11 am.
